Kate has over 20 years of experience in investor relations and fundraising for investment managers. Prior to joining Atlas Capital Advisors Inc., she was a Managing Director at Farallon Capital Management, L.L.C. She began her career with Credit Suisse First Boston (formerly Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette) in the Private Fund Group. She received her BA from Bucknell University.

With the election coming up, we look at the historical outcomes of investment markets and the budget deficit when each party held the White House. There are large differences, and the direction of the differences may be surprising. But these historical patterns do not predict the future. When it comes to market outcomes the economic cycle is the strong force, with political influence being a weak one.
